New Evidence of the biblical name Nathan-Melech.

One could be a light-blue chalcedony stone seal “(belonging) to Ikkar son of Matanyahu” (LeIkkar mountain Matanyahu). the opposite could be a clay seal impression, “(belonging) to Nathan-Melech, Servant of the King” (LeNathan-Melech Eved HaMelech). Nathan-Melech is called in 2 Kings as a politician within the court of King Josiah.


This burnt clay impression is that the initial anthropology proof of the biblical name Nathan-Melech.

The inscriptions ar “not simply another discovery,” aforementioned archeologist Dr. Yiftah Shalev of the Israel Antiquities Authority. Rather, they “paint a far larger image of the age in capital of Israel.”

According to Shalev, whereas each discoveries ar of Brobdingnagian intellectual price as inscriptions, their primary price is their anthropology context.
