The first thing to do is read

Genesis 4:1 5-32

 

Here you can read that Adam was 130 years old when he got his son's Seth, so we know that Seth is born 130 years after creation. Now we read that Seth was old 105 when he got his son Enos. then we put 130 + 105 so we know that Enosh was born 235 years after the creation and so we continue this. Then we can calculate that Noa is born 1056 years after the creation.

We read that Noa was 600 years old when the flood started.

So when we add the numbers up we get that the flood was 1656 years after the creation.

 

After the Flood, you continue to read Genesis 11: 10-28. Here you find the generations of Shem right up to Abraham.

In Genesis 21:5 we read that Abraham was 100 years old when he got Isaac. Next, we read Genesis 25.26 That Isaac was 60 years old when Jacob was born.

Now we read Genesis 47.28 that Jacob live to be 147 years and the last 17 years he lives in Egypt. Therefore he must have been 147-17= 130 years when he enters Canan.

If we add all the numbers we get that Israel enters Egypt 2298 years After the Creation.

How long time were they in Egypt?

Step 2.

This is very easy as we can read in Exodus 12.40  that they are in Egypt for 430 years.

So 2298 + 430 = 2728 years after the creation.

Step 3.

 

We can read in 1 Kings 6.1

"And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord"

So now we add 480 years to the 2728 +480 = 3208 years after the creation did Saloman begin to build the temple.

Step 3.

This is the really hard one.

You have to read all of kings 1 and 2.

and then you have to write down every year kings of Judah ruled after the 4 years of Solomon's reign, and until the last king was captured by the Babylonian.

Then put all the numbers together. Total of 17 kings that ruled 428 years.

428+3208 = 3636 after creation.

 

Step 4.

Now we can no longer get along with only the Bible as help so therefore we can imagine that the destruction of temples was about 586 years BC.

 

586 + 3636 = 4222 years after the creation was Jesus born.

Or the creation was 4222 BC.

 

But the Judges / Seder Olam believe that the destruction was in 420 BC and not 586  BC.
